The campus shooting.

On April 16, 2007, 32 college students were killed at Virginia Tech Campus in the worse school shooting in U.S history. The shooter was a Korean. The shootings began at 7:15 A.M.

At 7:15 A.M, a shooter ran into a campus dorm killed 2 people. The police arrived and thought that the shooter left, so classes weren’t canceled and the police did not inform the students about the shooting.

In between the shootings, the shooter delivered a package to NBC. In the package were photos and videos of him. The package did not arrive until April 18.

The President of the campus finally sent emails at 9:26A.M to students telling them that there was shooting in the area and they had to stay away from the windows and stay in their classrooms. The shooter then, went into a classroom and killed 30 more people. He shot himself before the police could get him.

The school massacre was very horrible. Gun control should be tighter or limited. Only people that are 30 and above should have guns. I hope in the future there won’t be any more guns.

World War 1 essay

World War 1 was a large war that started 1914 and ended in 1918. The U.S joined the war in 1917. The war is remembered as World War 1.(Or The Great War.) The U.S entered the war because German subs were firing against U.S ships, the Germans sent a telegram to Mexico inviting war against the U.S, and the Americans hated the Germans more then the British.

First, German subs attacked U.S ships (which helped opinion against Germany rose.) causing the U.S to be angry at Germany. The Germans announced they were launching unrestricted submarine warfare in the seas against any ship.

Second, the Germans sent a telegram to Mexico inviting war against the U.S. The Germans sent the telegram because they wanted the U.S to be distracted with a war with Mexico. Their ambassador to Mexico sent a telegram to Mexico, which was intercepted by the British, who showed the telegram to the U.S President. This caused the U.S to declare war against Germany.

Last, the Americans hated the Germans more then the British. The British used propaganda to convince the Americans that the Germans were bad. Early in the war, a ship called Lusitania was sunk by a German sub, killing not only British, but also some Americans, making opinion against Germany rise.

The Americans entered the war because the Americans hated the Germans, U.S ships were attacked by German subs, and the Germans sent a telegram to Mexico that invited the Mexicans to war with U.S. The U.S entry in the war helped the Allies win World War 1.

Essay on Teddy Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt was president from 1901-1908. Roosevelt became president when a deranged anarchist assassinated his predecessor, President William McKinley. Roosevelt is extremely famous and is remembered on Mount Rushmore. Roosevelt is famous because he increased U.S status in global affairs, he was the first president to consider the long-term needs for efficient conservation of national resources, and for his dedication to physical fitness.

First, Roosevelt increased U.S status in global affairs. He received international praise when he helped negotiated between Japan and Russia about the Russo-Japanese war (He won a Nobel Prize for that.). He finished making the Panama Canal. He ordered a U.S naval fleet to sail around the world, which became known has the Great White fleet.

Second, Roosevelt was the first American president to consider the long-term needs for efficient conservation of national resources. He put aside more land for national parks and nature preserves then all of his predecessors combined, 194 million acres in all.

Last, Roosevelt was famous for physical fitness. He usually hiked outside The White House with ambassadors. He made a speech with a bullet in his chest. He went hunting in Africa and Brazil after leaving the Presidency.

Roosevelt was one of the greatest presidents in American history. Roosevelt is famous for efficient conservation, for increasing U.S status in global affairs, and also famous for physical fitness. His creation of National Parks makes him still here today.

Camping Trip at Sun Moon Lake

On October 8, 2006 after a 2 day stay at Taipei city, Uncle Peter
invited us to Sun Moon Lake on a camping trip. We woke up at 5:00
so we could miss the traffic on Sunday. Grandma and Grandpa(my mom's
parents) also joined us. First we stopped at our house to pick up
the tent and other supplies. We finally got to Dehua and found
Peter and the rest of the famliy including his brother and an Amercian
exchange student.

The whole family is in Dehua.

Peter's brother.

We had lunch at a restaurant-hotel.

After lunch we went to a camping site which had bathrooms and a store.

We had trouble making our tent, but Peter's brother helped us so finally the tent was made.(The tent instructions said
the tent was big enough for 8 people to sleep in it.) So
our family plus one of our cousins would sleep in our tent,
3 people would sleep in Peter's tent Grandpa and Grandm
will sleep in the hotel, the remaining 3 people would sleep in
in the cars.

After making the tents I walk around and took some pictures.

Dehua is across us.

When it turned dark we started barbecuing and other people
were doing the same thing.

Everyone is enjoying dinner.

First we dropped Grandpa and Grandma at the hotel, then
went to the tents and went to sleep. Next morning everything was
wet.

Dad and me walked into Dehua to get newsapers only to
find out there are no newspapers for sale in Dehua!

Afer having instant noodle for breakfast we hung around
for 2 more hours and left for Taichung.
